10. Cookies and similar technologies
GuideMe uses cookies and similar technologies to enable the correct operation of the site, improve the browsing experience, remember preferences, analyse the use of the platform, measure performance and assess the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
Cookies may be first-party or third-party. Some are necessary for site operation, while others may be used for analytics or advertising measurement.
Users can configure their browser to block, delete or limit the use of cookies. However, disabling certain cookies may affect the operation or availability of some site features.
GuideMe may use tools such as Firebase, Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity for infrastructure, analytics, measurement, performance, security or advertising campaigns. Clarity may collect navigation and interaction events and create a technical session reconstruction; GuideMe masks sensitive data and private areas. These tools process data according to their own terms and policies.
11. External providers
GuideMe may use external providers to operate, maintain, protect, measure or improve the platform.
These providers may include infrastructure, hosting, database, authentication, analytics, advertising measurement, payment processing, security, technical support and operational tools services.

These providers should only access the data necessary to fulfil the purpose of the contracted or integrated service. However, each provider may process certain data according to its own policies, terms, conditions, security measures and legal obligations.
GuideMe does not sell personal data to third parties.
12. Transfers and third-party processing
GuideMe does not transfer personal data to third parties for the commercial sale of databases.
Notwithstanding the above, the use of external technology providers, such as infrastructure, analytics, advertising measurement or payment processing services, may result in certain data being processed by those providers under their own terms, privacy policies, technical standards and security conditions.
In particular, services such as Firebase, Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity and Mercado Pago may process data necessary to provide their respective services.
GuideMe will adopt reasonable measures to ensure that the providers used are appropriate for the informed purposes and offer reasonable security and confidentiality standards.
13. Information security
GuideMe adopts reasonable technical, organisational and administrative measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, misuse, disclosure, destruction or unauthorised processing.
These measures may include access controls, authentication tools, administrative restrictions, monitoring, use of recognised technology providers, infrastructure security measures and internal review procedures.
However, no IT system, website, database or Internet transmission can guarantee absolute security. Therefore, users must also adopt care measures, such as protecting their access credentials, using strong passwords and avoiding unnecessary sharing of sensitive information.
14. Retention of personal data
GuideMe will retain personal data for the time needed to fulfil the purposes for which they were collected, provide the service, manage bookings, process payments, provide support, maintain platform security, comply with legal, accounting, tax or regulatory obligations, and handle potential claims.
Data associated with a user or guide account will be retained while the account remains active. Once a deletion request is made, GuideMe may delete, anonymise or block the data, unless a legal obligation or legitimate need to retain them for a longer period applies.
Data linked to bookings, payments, invoicing, operational history, relevant communications, complaints or incidents may be retained for the time necessary to fulfil legal, accounting, tax, contractual or defence obligations against potential claims.
Published reviews, ratings and comments may remain visible while they remain relevant for the platform’s transparency, trust and operation, unless a valid removal request is made or GuideMe determines that they should be removed.
Internal messages between tourists and guides may be retained for security, support, abuse prevention, dispute resolution and service improvement purposes.
When data are no longer needed, GuideMe will take reasonable measures to delete, anonymise or prevent their unauthorised use.
15. User rights over personal data
Users have the right to request access, rectification, updating, deletion or confidentiality of their personal data, in accordance with applicable data-protection regulations.
To exercise these rights, users may send a request to: privacy@guidemear.com.
The request must contain sufficient information to identify the data subject and clearly describe the right they wish to exercise. GuideMe may require reasonable additional information to verify the applicant’s identity and protect the security of the data.
The exercise of these rights may be subject to limitations when a legal, contractual, tax, accounting, regulatory, security or defence-against-claims obligation justifies the retention of certain information.
16. Supervisory authority
In Argentina, the supervisory authority for personal data protection is the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (Agency for Access to Public Information).
The data subject has the right to exercise access to their data free of charge at intervals not shorter than six months, unless a legitimate interest is demonstrated in accordance with applicable regulations.
The data subject may also request the rectification, updating or deletion of their data where appropriate.
If the user considers that their rights have not been adequately addressed, they may file a claim with the competent supervisory authority.
17. Truthfulness and updating of data
The user declares that the personal data provided to GuideMe are truthful, accurate, complete and up to date.
The user undertakes to keep their information up to date and shall be responsible for any damages, prejudice, inconvenience or inability to provide the service that may result from false, incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data.
GuideMe may suspend, limit or delete accounts, profiles, posts or bookings when it detects false, misleading, inconsistent, fraudulent or rule-violating information.
18. Minors
GuideMe is intended exclusively for people aged 18 or over.
Registration, use of the platform, contracting of services or publication of profiles by minors under 18 is not allowed.
If GuideMe becomes aware that it has collected personal data of a minor without the corresponding authorisation or legal involvement, it may delete such information and adopt the necessary measures to restrict access to the platform.
19. Links to third-party sites
GuideMe may contain links, integrations or references to third-party sites, platforms, services or tools.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to external sites or services not operated by GuideMe. The use of such sites or services will be subject to their own privacy policies, terms and conditions.
GuideMe will not be responsible for the privacy, security or content practices of third-party sites, platforms or providers.
